for Mountain MailSOCORRO, New Mexico (STPNS) -- Socorro and Catron County combat veterans who think they have exposed to depleted uranium will be given a chance to be tested free next month, but a committee for Depleted Uranium Sensitive Testing (DUST) thinks the tests are flawed.
The state Department of Health is testing New Mexico veterans and active duty personnel who may have been exposed to depleted uranium in the Persian Gulf War, the Afghanistan conflict or the current war in Iraq.
